2nd Reading Of Bill C-236 Postponed Until Sept. 27
It is because the G7, Trump or some other reason, we don’t know but the second reading of Private Member’s Bill C-236 tabled by MP Linda Lapointe (see article here) on the capping of credit card fees has been postponed to next Fall, until September 27th.
The 2nd reading was initially planned for this session but has been delayed three consecutive times over the past few weeks.
The good news is that this new delay will leave more time for the industry to rally MPs’ support!
