CONTEST RULES TO THE SMART DEP QUIZ
- Admission Requirements: In order to win one or more of the 50 (fifty) $ 100 gift certificates, you must be the owner or manager of a convenience store, tobacconist, grocery store or supermarket in Quebec and participate in the Smart Dep Quiz on the DepQuébec website for the duration of the contest by answering the 10 questions in the quiz and entering your name and email address at the end of the quiz, regardless of the result of the quiz (good or bad answers).
- Places to participate: The contest is held online on the DepQuébec portal (depquebec.com). Visible ads on the home page clearly indicate the contest and how to participate.
- Deadline and time: The contest runs from Monday, March 26, 2018 to Sunday, June 3, 2018 at midnight.
- Description and method of awarding prizes: 50 (fifty) gift certificates of $ 100 (one hundred dollars) are randomly drawn, at the rate of 5 (five) per week for 10 (ten) weeks among all participants, i.e. those who completed the quiz online and entered their name and email before the Sunday of each week of the contest at midnight. A participant is eligible for all weekly draws subsequent to his / her entry date and winning once does not eliminate the participant from following draws until the end of the contest on June 3, 2018. A participant has one chance to win per week. Each person and unique email account for one participation maximum and duplicate or multiple entries (same person with different emails) will be discarded when detected. The five types of $ 100 gift cards offered per week are: Saint-Hubert Restaurants, La Cage Sports Brewery, Cineplex, Renaud-Bray and Rona.
- Place, Date and Time of Prize Designation: The 50 (fifty) winners will be drawn by the Contest Organizers at a rate of 5 (five) winners per week for 10 (ten) weeks. The draws take place every Monday morning at 8:30 am for the previous week of the competition, on Mondays April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Mondays May 7, 14, 21, 28 and Monday, June 4, 2018.
- Media used to notify winners: Winners are notified by email at 9:00 am on every Monday’s draw (see point 5). They must respond to the email no later than the following Thursday at midnight by confirming their name, address, telephone number and their store name for verification purposes, to receive their prize, otherwise they are eliminated (in case of no response, two e-mail reminders will be sent, the following Wednesday at noon and the following Thursday at noon). The first to answer has the priority of choosing the certificate among the five offered. The organizers then verify whether the participant is indeed the owner or manager of a convenience store, tobacconist, grocery store or supermarket by contacting the said store and, if so, grant the price to them. In the event that winners in the draw are eliminated due to the fact that they have not responded to the confirmation email or are not truly owners or managers of a convenience store, tobacconist, grocery store or supermarket, unallocated prizes are added to the upcoming draw. To qualify as a manager, the latter must be certified as such by the owner. Once the winners are confirmed, their names and store names are announced on the DepQuébec website as well as to all participants via an information letter.
- Place, date and time to claim the prizes: The winners receive a gift certificate by mail within one week of their validation. As there are five different types of gift certificates offered of $ 100 a week, they are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis (see point 6).
- Exclusion: The people for whom the contest is held, their employee, representatives, agents or members of the jury and the people with whom they live with cannot participate to this contest.
- Litigation: A dispute as to the organization or conduct of this contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, courses et jeux for resolution. Any litigation respecting the remittance of prizes may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
- Event: No proof is required for the winner to claim his prize.
