{"id":122988,"date":"2018-11-29T13:38:02","date_gmt":"2018-11-29T18:38:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/?p=122988"},"modified":"2018-11-29T13:47:40","modified_gmt":"2018-11-29T18:47:40","slug":"corporate-charity-increases-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/en\/corporate-charity-increases-sales\/","title":{"rendered":"Corporate Charity Increases Sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Is being a generous and committed company \u2014 like most convenience stores \u2014 helping to increase sales?<\/p>\n<p>Good question!&#8230; to which we may answer positively!<\/p>\n<p>According to a recent survey commissioned by the <a href=\"http:\/\/upsidefoundation.ca\/\">Upside Foundation<\/a> of Toronto and sponsored by <a href=\"http:\/\/interac.ca\/\">Interac<\/a>, corporate generosity is a significant factor of purchasing preference among Canadians.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers speak for themselves:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>70% of Canadians are more likely to purchase\u00a0from companies that support charities;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>81% of Canadians agree that all companies\u00a0should give back;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>68% saying they would be more loyal\u00a0to companies that have a corporate giving mandate;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>nearly half (46%) of Canadians\u00a0say they have based their purchase on whether or not a company was considered charitable;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>48%\u00a0are willing to spend more on products from companies that give back.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Charitable giving helps drive economic growth because Canadians not only prefer to support businesses that give back, they are also willing to spend more at businesses that do so,&#8221; said\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Debbie Gamble<\/span>, Chief Officer of Innovation Labs and New Ventures at <a href=\"http:\/\/interac.ca\/\">Interac<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Interac is a proud sponsor of <a href=\"http:\/\/upsidefoundation.ca\/\">The Upside Foundation<\/a> to help promote connecting business innovation to social good and encourage Canadians to spend smart this holiday season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is being a generous and committed company \u2014 like most convenience stores \u2014 helping to increase sales?
