{"id":100973,"date":"2017-05-22T15:21:58","date_gmt":"2017-05-22T20:21:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/?p=100973\/"},"modified":"2017-05-22T15:36:41","modified_gmt":"2017-05-22T20:36:41","slug":"new-windshield-washer-fluid-station-in-harnois","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/en\/new-windshield-washer-fluid-station-in-harnois\/","title":{"rendered":"New Windshield Washer Fluid Station at Harnois"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seen at <a href=\"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/en\/banner-profiles\/le-magasin\/\"><strong>Le Magasin \/ Esso<\/strong><\/a> from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/en\/gas-brand-profiles\/harnois\/\">Harnois<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>retail chain in Sainte-Ad\u00e8le: <strong>a windshield washer fluid filling station!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rather than purchasing a 4L plastic bottle, the motorist can fill its tank directly from a pump spout as it would for gasoline.<\/p>\n<p>A quantity of 4 L costs\u00a0around $4.25 CDN, more affordable than buying a plastic can (app. $ 5.99 per unit) but more expensive than those bought at large surface stores (sold about $2.50 per unit).<\/p>\n<p>This innovation is the work of entrepreneur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stationlaveglace.ca\/\">Pierre N\u00e9ron and his firm Cristal Innovation<\/a>. Mr. N\u00e9ron\u00a0highlights\u00a0in his sales pitch the environmental benefits of his\u00a0approach.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_100970\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-100970\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Pierre-N\u00e9ron.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-100970\" src=\"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Pierre-N\u00e9ron.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-100970\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Pierre N\u00e9ron<\/strong>, is filling a reservoir with windshield fluid from his station. Source: Cristal Innovation<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It is after seeing a similar application in Europe that he decided to launch the concept here in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stationlaveglace.ca\/\">store locator map<\/a> on the company&#8217;s website, several chains are currently testing his device\u00a0such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/en\/gas-brand-profiles\/harnois\/\">Harnois<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>but also <a href=\"https:\/\/depquebec.com\/en\/chain-profiles\/alimentation-couche-tard\/\"><strong>Couche-Tard<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Caliprix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen whether this seemingly very good idea is going to become popular and spread throughout Quebec and elsewhere in North America.<\/p>\n<p>It is surely the price and competitiveness factor that will determine the future of this promising formula.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seen at Le Magasin \/ Esso from the Harnois\u00a0retail chain in Sainte-Ad\u00e8le: a windshield washer fluid filling station!
