The Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>brand is offered by the company of the same name based in Saint John, New Brunswick.<\/p>\n

The Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>oil company has two refineries (St. John in Canada and Whitegate in Ireland). Saint John’s refinery produces up to 300,000 barrels a day.<\/p>\n

In 2001, Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>began a partnership with Alimentation Couche-Tard<\/strong><\/a>, in which the Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>convenience stores in Atlantic and New England are leased to Couche-Tard<\/strong><\/a>, which operates stores under its Circle K<\/strong> brand. Fuel pumps and the sites are Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>branded, and Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>supplies the fuel products on the sites. In 2008, this partnership was expanded to include 252 additional retail sites, including the Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>convenience stores in Quebec.<\/p>\n

Irving<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0gasoline comes from the St. John refinery, the first in Canada to produce a high octane gasoline without the use of lead additives. It is also the first to offer a low-sulfur gasoline five years before the regulations come into force. In 2011, Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>invested $ 100 million in equipment that dramatically reduced benzene levels in gasoline. Thus, it complied with USEPA regulations several years before the Canadian government demanded as much.<\/p>\n

To interested retailers, Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>proposes serious opportunities. According to the company, existing Irving<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>sites consistently exceed market averages for liquid volumes.<\/p>\n
