The UniSoir<\/strong> banner was launched by L\u00e9vis’ wholesaler J.B. Cadrin<\/strong>\u00a0before its merger with Montreal’s\u00a0Jean-Paul Beaudry Ltd<\/strong>. to form Beaudry & Cadrin<\/strong><\/a> in 2013.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The banner was created to grow Cadrin’s volume by securing and retaining long-term agreements with independent owners of convenience stores. <\/span>Now that the merger has taken place, the Beaudry & Cadrin<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0group inherits a large portfolio of 7 banners, many of which are similar or aim at similar prospects. <\/span>It is not clear at this stage what will happen to these different banners but it would not be surprising that their numbers decrease for reasons of coherence and cost efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n To display the UniSoir<\/strong> banner, the franchisee signs an “exclusive affiliation and supply agreement” of variable duration but generally established around 5 years. <\/span>The franchisee is thus affiliated to the banner of which Beaudry & Cadrin<\/strong><\/a> holds the intellectual property rights. <\/span>It agrees to purchase exclusively from the latter the goods and merchandise for the operation of its convenience store business. <\/span>In return, it benefits from discounts and discounts from the suppliers of Beaudry & Cadrin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
